FAQ

Who can apply to the donation program?

Non-profit social organizations working on education and employment issues in Costa Rica can apply. Priority will be given to those that:

  • Are in the consolidation process and need financing to start operations.

  • Have less than 6 years of experience and wish to develop a specific impact or social innovation project.

The program offers non-refundable funds totaling $100,000 USD, divided among up to four organizations.

To have higher chances of being selected, organizations must:

  • Be legally constituted as non-profit organizations.

  • Be focused on education and/or employment.

  • Show commitment to results measurement and have a clear theory of change.

  • Present a concept document of their proposal in the first stage of the process.

  • If they advance to the second stage, complete a detailed form for evaluation by the Donations Committee.

The evaluation process is carried out in two stages. In the first, organizations must present a concept document of their proposal. Initiatives that advance will move to the second stage, where they must complete a detailed form.

Our Donations Committee will evaluate proposals based on criteria such as approach, impact potential and results measurement. Selected projects will be announced before the end of the year, and will be executed starting in 2025.
